Typical Bolivian dishes include salteñas (breakfast pasties of meat and vegetables), humitas (balls of corn dough, stuffed with cheese and steamed) and fritanga (thick, spicy, pork stew).

One of the favourite desserts in Bolivia is helado de canela, which is not cinnamon ice-cream as it translates to, but a light refreshing sherbet sorbet.

Chicha is an alcoholic drink which has been enjoyed since the Inca empire, it is a sour, milky drink made from corn.
